For racing games, get a wheel. Can't beat that for those games.

Otherwise, I'm a keyboard/mouse gamer Grin

Got a couple of em for free from Live Search Club (now Club Bing). They are similar to regular 360 controllers, cept the Windows ones comes with a USB dongle. I had to get an external powered USB hub to power it since it seemed to draw more power than my mobo USB ports could handle with everything else plugged in. The games I used it with supported the 360 controller, but there are other programs to make incompatible programs recognize the controller.

I got a buddy that uses one for pretty much everything. Even the MMO we play (DDO). which is pretty complicated.

Mostly played racing games like Grid with it. Lost my old wheel a while back, though I doubt I could find new drivers for my system to support it. Also if you plan to use wireless controllers in the future, I heard one of the USB hubs can receive signals from multiple controllers at the same time. Haven't tried it yet, though I may have to load up some emulator fighting games soon Smile

I have one; it's pretty great when I use it. I haven't played any racing games with it, but if GRID doesn't support it, I'd be surprised.

Also, configured properly, Xpadder will let you use it in games that don't support it naturally. With Xpadder, I would say just go ahead and buy the controller.
