Have people been having any problems with running a games on 64 bit systems, either windows 7 or Vista. Cos im looking at getting windows 7 64bit for a new gaming system but was wondering about the games that are available that work completely.
Anyone use either of the systems and had any problems??
What are people playing on either of the 64bit platforms?? _________________ Coolermaster HAF 932 (with extra NF-S12B FLX) II Coolermaster Real Power M1000 II Gigabyte EX58-UD5 II i7 920 @ 3.2Ghz II

I run Vista 64 Ultimate and haven't experienced any problems.
I would wait on Windows 7 though, but then again I don't like pain... you might _________________

| I'm running Vista 64 and the only game I have had problems with is my old AVP2 game which I couldn't get installed for some reason. I have also had an issue of two with a couple of mods for C&C generals. Besides that everything works fine. HL2, Crysis, Crysis WH, FC2, C&C3, Bioshock, World in Conflict all work fine. |

No problems on my Vista Premium 64-bit yet. Biggest issue I have is that 64-bit IE is not supported by Adobe and other flash. Even plays old school blizzard games. I don't agree with BeerCheeze though. Since Windows 7 is just a revamped Vista. They have had years to work out the serious issues.
Biggest issue that you may encounter is that some programs do not support 64-bit but they are mostly freeware types at this point (last rejection I had was some Anti-keylogger program) _________________ i just beat the internet.... the end guy was hard. |

No problems with either Vista or Windows 7 64 bit here, but I've only been playing mostly newer releases. _________________ "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."........Albert Einstein |

| I have no problems with Server 2008 64 bit and games. Server 2008 runs the Vista 64 bit drivers and is based off of Vista so no real surprise here. The great thing about a 64bit OS is how much better and smoother games play as well as the computers performance increase! Awesome stuff! |

I run Vista Ultimate 64-bit. No problems as of yet. I play Call of Duty 4 and World of Warcraft. I've yet to load any older games as of yet, as I'm quite busy wasting my time with currently named games. _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |

I'm also running Vista Ultimate 64-bit for more than 2 years now and didn't have even a single problem in games.
I'm also looking forward Windows 7 64-bit version, but I think I'll give it at least a year or so to be released officially and stabilize... _________________ Intel Quad-Core Q6600 G0 @3.4GHz (8x425)

| Compatibility for older games on 64-bit is usually luck of the draw, but most of the games i've run work fine or have decent emulation. Although I do like Vista 64-bit after ~2 years running, Windows 7 is just around the corner and worth considering waiting for if the beta is any indication |
