True gamers will go to great lengths to immerse themselves in their games, and the audio has become almost as important as the video portion of serious game play. Xoxide has supplied us with an item designed to enhance the audio portion of a gamer's experience in the form of the eDimensional AudioFX Force Feedback Gaming Headset.

The AudioFX headset is produced by eDimensional, a company best known for their award winning E-D 3-D Gaming System. eDimensional was founded in 2000 by a group of avid gamers with the intent of bringing the most realistic gaming experience possible to their customers. So let’s take a look at the AudioFX Force Feedback Gaming Headset and see just how it stacks up.

The headset comes in a blister pack that Xoxide packed safely inside a box. Despite the shipping company apparently using the box as a hockey puck in their company tournament, our unit arrived in good shape. Click here for a shot of the package tha we received.

Printed on the cardboard backing piece is a simple diagram with instruction on how to connect the headset and a listing of features.

As soon as I pulled the eDimensional AudioFX headset out of the bubble pack, I was immediately impressed with the quality. The construction and overall appearance are very solid. In addition to being quite pleasing to my eye, they are without a doubt among the most comfortable of any headset I have ever used.

As you can see in the image below, both of the ear muffs and the strap that goes across the top of your head are very well padded.
