Bond Home Smart Ceiling Fan Controller
The Bond Home Smart Ceiling Fan Controller is a device that promises to make your non-smart home devices smart, providing they are controlled by RF (Radio Frequency) or IR (Infrared). Using the Bond Home you can not only control ceiling fans; but air conditioners, garage doors, etc. Not only does it claim to give you full control of these devices remotely, you also can control these devices with Amazon Alexa and Google Home products.

ZOOZ ZSE18 Z-Wave Plus Motion Sensor with Magnetic Base
The ZOOZ ZSE18 Z-Wave Plus motion sensor with magnetic base is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a motion sensor to their Z-Wave powered home automation system. It is compatible with a handful of hubs, and I found that it works very well with SmartThings. Whether you want to use it as a security device, or merely to make your life more convenient by turning on lights as you pass by in the dark, it will work very well.

EZVIZ 4-Camera 4K Security System with 2TB HDD NVR
EZVIZ continues to expand their line of cameras and NVR systems. The EZVIZ 4K UltraHD wired kit includes four cameras and a 2TB NVR, and it is one of their newest systems. A while back I reviewed the EZVIZ Husky and was impressed with the build and image quality, as well as the excellent night vision. When EZVIZ sent over the 4K UltraHD Wired Kit I was eager to see how this system would stack up considering my high opinion of the Husky.

D-Link DCS-8300LH 1080p WiFi Indoor Security Camera
In this review we are taking a look at the recently released D-Link Full HD Wi-Fi indoor security camera model DCS-8300LH. This camera appears to be positioned between their 1080p 180-degree camera (model 2530L) and their 720p camera (model 935L). It features a 1080p resolution, with a more standard field of view (FOV), and also has their newer design shape that features a large round housing at the top which contains all the guts to the device.

Kingston UV500 960GB 2.5 Inch SSD
In the spring of 2018 Kingston introduced their UV500 line of mSATA, M.2, and 2.5" solid state drives available with capacities ranging from 120GB all the way up to 1920GB. All drives in this series are based on Marvell brand controllers, and are Kingston's first 3D NAND-enabled solid state drives to feature full-disk encryption. In this review we are going to take a look at a 2.5" UV500 SSD with a capacity of 960GB that was sold as part of a "SSD Upgrade Kit".
BACtrack C8 Police-Grade Breathalyzer :: Posted On July 13, 2018
BACtrack C8 Police-Grade Breathalyzer
A few weeks back we were at a press event and saw the BACtrack display for their new C8 police-grade breathalyzer device that features something they call ZeroLine. BACtrack is the #1 seller of breathalyzers in North America and was founded in 2001. Their new C8 builds on their past expertise by adding ZeroLine, which gives you an estimate of when you'll be sober. Turns out it might be longer than you think.

Samsung SSD 970 PRO Solid State Drive
Not so long ago Samsung debuted their third-generation NVMe client storage devices with their SSD 970 PRO M.2 solid state drive series. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests the 512GB Samsung SSD 970 PRO, which pairs their latest 2-bit MLC V-NAND and a 512MB LPDDR4 DRAM cache buffer with their new Phoenix controller to produce up to 3500 MB/s reads at 370,000 IOPS and 2300 MB/s writes at 500,000 IOPS, and we compare performance against all the leading competition. We'll find out if Samsung's 970 PRO SSD is worth the money.
Crucial MX500 250GB M.2 Type 2280 SSD
The M.2 Type 2280 Crucial MX500 250GB does have about the same performance as its 500GB version and the installation process is pretty straight-forward. With a MTTF of 1.8 million hours, an endurance of 100TB (TBW) and a limited five-year warranty, we can consider it an ideal upgrade as a boot drive for many mainstream systems. MX500 does come with hardware-based encryption, while the integrated power loss immunity does avoid unwanted data corruption if the system would suddenly freeze or shut down.
ASUS ROG Maximus X Formula Motherboard
It is difficult to go wrong with any ASUS ROG motherboard as they always feature better components, better performance potentials and ease of use. The Maximus X Formula is a full featured motherboard with onboard Wi-Fi, Tasteful RGB LEDs and a watercooled VRM.
Nest Hello Video Doorbell
When Nest first announced the Nest Hello last winter it peaked my interest. The Nest Hello is currently their only video doorbell product. At $229, is slightly less expensive than the $249 Ring Pro, so still not inexpensive. If it delivers on what it promises it could be an added value to an existing external camera setup or replace the need for separate cameras entirely.
Cougar Conquer Essence Mini Tower Case
I love open design cases. Cases like Core P1-3-5-7 (Thermaltake) and Paean (Raijintek) offer a lot of customizable options for anyone who is trying to put together a custom rig. Unfortunately there aren't many manufacturers out there who has open style cases. Our friends at Cougar has just released a smaller version of their flagship Conquer case, Conquer Essence.
QNAP TVS-873E-4G NAS Server
Featuring eight 2.5/3.5" drive bays, two M.2 2260/2280 slots, two PCIe 3.0 x4 expansion slots, 4GB DDR4 RAM and the latest AMD RX-421BD Embedded R-Series SOC (Radeon R7) the brand new TVS-873E-4G NAS by QNAP is among the fastest and most well equipped models to ever reach our lab.
Cooler Master MasterAir MA410M Air Cooler
Cooler Master has decided to embrace this with the new MasterAir MA410M, a dual fan air cooler, that supports addressable RGB LEDs on both the fans and cooler shroud itself. With a host of features including a built-in CPU temperature sensor and Air Guide Armour for 59.99, how does it stack up against both AIO liquid coolers and air coolers at this relatively saturated price point?
Patriot Viper RGB DDR4 3200 MHz Memory
Patriot's turn at RGB memory has hit our test labs with the Viper white RGB 3200 MHz DDR4 kit. Compatible with most motherboard RGB controls, the Patriot Viper's fangs are ready to light up your case.
Kingston UV500 480GB M.2 SSD
The UV500 is the very first consumer oriented SSD by Kingston to feature both AES 256-bit hardware encryption and the latest 3D TLC NAND flash by Toshiba and today we'll be thoroughly testing the 480GB M.2 variant.
ECS looks to impress with the LIVA Z2, a silent, power-efficient, and semi-upgradeable successor to the LIVA Z. Packing a host of new outputs and features, such as HDMI 2.0 for 4K 60 Hz playback, the LIVA Z2 offers enough performance to make it a compelling entry level offering for those wanting a HTPC or simple office system.
