Ultra Products X-Connect 2 550W PSU

Installation:

Before beginning the installation, I wanted to show you what my case currently looks like with the Ultra Products X-Finity 500W power supply with FlexForce cables installed. Even though it looks better than if the cables were "normal", you can still see the jungle of cables. Tucked away on the top of my optical drive, are the extra cables I do not need. There are also extra plugs that are not being used tucked in the bottom hard drive bay.

Installing a power supply is not difficult and using modular cables makes it even easier. You will probably spend most of the install time routing cables, and selecting the correct cable for your specific needs.

Once the power supply is installed, it does not have a flashy appearance with lights. It does, however, have a sharp look due to the titanium finish. As you can see here, I have no extra cables to tuck away. In fact, I have no extra plugs at all, except the one 4-pin drive connector from the fan that has a pass-through connector.

I found plugging the cables in to be simple, since they can only be installed in specific ports, and in a specific direction. The SATA connectors gave me a little bit of a problem as the slot is a bit larger than the connector and has that little L piece. Once I figured out the direction it went, the SATA cable went right into place. Once the cables are installed, they do not pull out very easily, SATA connections included.
