Razer Copperhead 2000 DPI Laser Mouse
October 31, 2005

Conclusion:

Razer has packed a lot of features into a mouse with great looks. From the on the fly DPI switching, to the onboard memory that stores user's profiles right in the mouse, to the drivers that allow for extreme fine tuning of the mouse for a user's personal preferences, you would be hard pressed to find a mouse that offers more to the hard core gamer. However, the placement of the side buttons is not convenient for larger hands, and the cost of the Copperhead throw a dark shadow over an otherwise great mouse. Crazy PC offers the Razer Copperhead for $78.99 and using PriceGrabber I see the going price is presently $79.90. Crazy PC offers a good deal on the Copperhead, but it is still a very pretty penny to pay for any mouse.

For the great styling, flexible features, and solid performance I give the Razer Copperhead a final rating of 4 out of 5 stars, and an award of being "Gaming Approved". The poor button placement and high price are all that keep it from earning a perfect 5 star rating.

Final Rating (4 out of 5 stars):

Pros:

• Great looks
• Ambidextrous configuration
• On board memory stores profiles right in mouse
• On the fly DPI switching
• Customizable drivers
• Extra long mouse cord

Cons:

• Poor placement of side buttons for larger hands
• High price
