Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR3-1800 Dual Channel Memory Kit
The kit in question features two 1GB sticks of PC3-14400 DDR3 memory rated for 8-8-8-24 timings at 1.9V. While slower kits showed that they could be overclocked to perform nearly as well as the HyperX 2GB DDR3-1800 dual channel memory kit, if you are looking for plug and play performance at 1800MHz and above, this kit is worth considering. Thermaltake Armor+ MX VH8000BWS Mid Tower ATX Case
Good
things come in slightly smaller packages... Smaller than a full tower case, that is! A few weeks ago the Thermaltake Armor+ VH6000BWS full tower chassis was reviewed at Bigbruin.com, and the overall impression was quite positive. This time around we have the mid tower version, the Armor+ MX VH8000BWS. [link]
Thermaltake DuOrb Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Installing the Thermaltake DuOrb heatpipe CPU cooler on a motherboard with an open layout should be very simple thanks to the well thought out mounting hardware that will hold the cooler in place and will keep it from sliding around. As seen in the review, there could be issues installing the DuOrb on some motherboards. [link]

The Charity
Yard Sale Keeps
Rolling:
So far
the charity yard sale has raised over $150 for the Aplastic
Anemia & MDS International Foundation, and we're looking
to increase that total greatly. More
information...
Over the next several weeks I'll be
clearing the shelves of some old, and some not so old
hardware. The terms are that I am going to give 50% off
all sales to a charity that deals with Aplastic Anemia. I
will keep adding things to the list and will cut a check from
time to time when the dollar amount gets high enough. Shipping
is calculated separately and not included in the 50/50 split.
People can pay via money order, check, or Paypal, and I will
eat the Paypal fees (for now). For more information
please visit this link.
Of interest to newsletter subscribers is
that anyone who buys something and confirms that they are a
subscriber will be entered to receive a $25 gift card from Best Buy. Not a bad deal...
get some cheap hardware, help out a charity, and have
pretty good odds at winning a little something
extra.
The charity yard
sale and gift card promotion ends September 30, 2008, or when I run
out of things to sell, which ever comes
first.
