It's been a while since we've seen a CPU cooler at Bigbruin.com, but today we have one of the more popular coolers on the market - the Cooler Master V8. Even though the V8 was launched in June of 2008, it is only now beginning to see its true potential thanks to the popularity of the Intel Core i7 and i5 processors, and the tremendous amount of heat they can produce.

Well I don't think your testing stressed the CPU that much. With a overclock of (3.8ghz), running an A2, the stock cooler ran quickly past 95c. With the Prolimatech (if I recall right from another post) the temps were about 50c with two Artics. As of now running A3s and the CPU usage at 100% for all 8 "cores" with a slight OC to 2.8Ghz the temps are 48c for the CPU and 36c for the NB. The motherboard is set for a target of 49c and the cooler has two fans, intake is a Artic 12025 and the outtake is the OEM fan out of the Foxconn (used for the 4-way Opteron). No exaust fan on the case. The rear fan is so close to the rear there is no need. The cooler is so big it sits 1/8 inch away from the side with no room for the top fans (this is the case I won in the football contest).

Here is one you should test if you can get it in the US. Danamics LMX To quote their promo "Danamics is proud to present their all new liquid metal based CPU cooler, Danamics LMX." It has a Liquid Metal (Sodium Potassium (NaK)) in its heat pipes and a Electromagnetic pump to circulate it. Currently £114.99 in the UK.(Buy it at ShinyHardware.com.uk. (Only sold in Europe and the UK)
