| Your CPU fan stops? Replace it man that is nothing to mess with. Is it hooked to the mobo or directly into the power supply? |

Ummm, yeah... listen to Dad!! Fans are extremely cheap especially compared to the damage that can be done by not doing anything about it! _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!

| It is hooked up directly to my mobo into the cpu_fan slot. However, I have a 430w antec power supply (low noise) which just isn't as quiet as I think it should be. Everything other than the power supply noise and the cpu fan stopping after windows starts is working fine. Could it be a PSU problem? And what damage could running my comp w/o the fan cause, since the comp restarts once a temp of 60 degs is reached anyways? |

It sounds like your motherboard isn't managin it properly. I would reccomend looking through the BIOS to make sure that everything is set okay.
When all else fails, get a CPU fan that hooks to your PSU. _________________
