This took about 4 minutes of "work"... A 3.3GHz chip running at about 4.1GHz with 8GB of DDR3 running at about 2133MHz.

How much did the Core and CPU temps warm up with only the stock cooler? |

Oops... Just saw this. At idle it was only in the 40s... I didn't put some ultimate stressing load on it because it is still using the stock cooler, but with some benches and 3D gaming it got just over 70. Not bad, really. My i7 920 is that warm at stock just running F@H - and it has a massive aftermarket cooler. _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!

i do, but I have talked about it for years, and now I just keep to my self.
I have a intel Q9550 2.83 @ 3.83 on an aging evga 780i sli mobo
i hit low 70°c's on air. It works and hasn't burned up yet, so who cares. _________________ evga 780i sli

| Older post, but I bought my PC factory overclocked by 20% and have been running it for 2 years with zero problems. Cheap way to get more speed with cheaper components. |
