Anyone got any idea if TRIM is supported over RAID0 yet? Looking into either getting a new 240gb SSD cos of the proce crashing recently or getting 2 120gb drive as it would be cheaper but i need to start my other mobo controller(which is a major minus point but ahwell). But the main problem is if TRIM is yet supported over RAID0 because atm i only have sata3gbs board so want to atleast double the top throughput.

Any ideas?

Don't think any can handle TRIM in RAID 0 yet... Do the drives have Garbage Collection? If so, they would each be doing their own thing equivalent to TRIM.

I'm in the same boat... Looking to get a pair of SSDs to really fly now that the prices are so much lower.

No idea if they have garbage collection. Atm its a couple of Kingston hyperx 120.gb drives that I've found for around 65quid each I'm looking at.

Just read a quick review on the hyper drives and they said performance crashed with raid as the garbage collection was no god and were better just getting single 240.gb for now which is a shame. Have read something about trim being supported over raid in windows 8 and new Intel rst I think though

I am not sure if that new Intel RST has been released yet... Been suggested for ages though, so hopefully it is close.

Think im gonna end up going for single 240gb drive now. Think i should be able to pick one up for £150ish which isnt too bad and means i can throw my older 60gb into laptop for abit more speed Smile. Heard anything about RSt recently though?
