Ok, for water cooling units, can you use Car anti-freeze? It's Anti-Freeze and Anti-Rust as well.
Thoughts? |

| I have often wondered the same thing myself. Especially since the coolant that came with the Big Water kit I have looks and smells just like anti freeze. I know I have read people using it in the past but cant remember if they had good or bad results. |

I saw an article today where they used Zerex... Google that. _________________ Sometimes I laugh so hard that the tears run down my leg!

I'm sure you can use anti-freeze, but you'd still want to make it a 50/50 mixture. Anti-freeze isn't as much a coolant as it is a lubricant/anti-rust additive. Not to mention the obvious anti-freeze part. _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |

distilled water. antifreeze is a very poor conductor of heat. at least in this situation.
distilled water + zerex or some kind of addative. actually antifreeze works for that. 10:1 distilled water to antifreeze will keep electralasis of the metals away and keep algae from growing while still keeping the properties of water(which you want) _________________
