| So do any of you know if its legal to have a Mod chip and is it true that when you go on Xbox live Microsoft can break your mod. |

no it isnt legal...it is legal to put one in but that voids your warranty...basically what it does is lets you download games to your xbox hdd, run linux on your xbox, and play off of burned cds...but i belive that each xbox game has a serial number in it so only one at a time can be on...if 2 games with matching serials are on they know somthng is up...i dont have an xbox but i have isntalled mod chips and downloaded games to a 200gb hdd in my buddy's xbox...
