Not an empty enclosure that is capable of supporting 12TB worth of hard drives if it were maxed out, but a device that is pre-populated with drives at this capacity, just waiting to be plugged in to your small-business network. That is what we will be talking about with this review of the Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 12TB network storage server.
The 12TB Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 is shown in the promotional image above, and my first impression is that they have at least released an attractive device (for whatever aesthetics are worth when it comes to something like this). Inside the BlackArmor NAS 440 are four of Seagate's 3TB Barracuda XT SATA hard drives, which are just as new as the enclosure, making them nearly impossible to find on their own at this point.
