OCZ Technology is one of the handful of popular brands to build off their experience in system and flash memory in order to stake their claim in the growing solid state drive market. We've been impressed by their enthusiast grade system memory and USB flash drives for years, but the 60GB Agility is the first SSD from OCZ Technology to make its way to Bigbruin.com for review.
The promotional image above shows the 60GB OCZ Technology Agility; a MLC NAND flash based solid state drive featuring 64MB of cache memory to bolster write performance. Before taking a closer look at the sample provided for review, let's take a look at some published information taken from the
official product page on the OCZ Technology website.

Packaging:
The OCZ Technology 60GB Agility solid state drive is sold in the compact box shown below. The front shows what the drive looks like, as well as detailing a few of its key features. Around back you get confirmation of many of the specifications listed above; including read and write speeds, shock and vibration resistance, and the mean time before failure (MTBF) of 1.5 million hours.
Inside the box we see why such compact packaging is possible. This is a bare drive, and it does not include an upgrade kit like the other SSDs we have checked out recently. The SSD is sealed in an anti-static bag and placed in a form fitting foam tray inside the hinged box. The only other item included is an installation guide.
