Testing (continued):

SiSoft Sandra Engineer Standard 2010:

SiSoft Sandra Engineer Standard 2010 was used to take a look at their Removable Storage set of tests. Here we will take a look at something other than read/write performance, which has already been well covered by the first two tests. The screenshot below shows the results page from when the Kingston 32GB card was tested.

The first chart takes a look at the "Device Score", which is measured in terms of IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second). Higher values are better in this test, and from the data below we see that the Kingston card is by far the strongest competitor.



Next up we have a look at a comparison of the card's "Endurance Factor", where higher values are also better. This test is rather subjective, but Sandra uses calculations during testing to approximate the card's reliability (which could translate to life expectancy). For what it is worth, the Kingston card did not do very well in this round!
