Optional Accessories:

One thing that can be really useful if you find yourself swapping out drives a lot is to have some type of protection for the drives you are not using. Ineo was kind enough to send over a pair of Protection Boxes for us to take a look at.



They are just a simple plastic box with a hinged door at one end, and are made of very hard and sturdy material. Judging by the build of these if you were to drop one of your drives, it would probably survive. I wasn't about to try the drop test with one of my drives, but if you are crazy enough to do so, please let me know the results.



Here we get a good look at one of the Protection Boxes out of its package. As you can see it is see through so you will be able to tell which drive you have inside the Protection Box.



And if seeing through the box isn't enough, Ineo packages the Protection box with a couple of stick on labels, and an Ineo branded box badge.



So if you choose to use the Safe (RAID 0) setting and you pick up a couple of the Protection Boxes, not only is your data safe from drive failures and other mishaps. Your drives are also safe from being splashed with liquids such as your morning coffee, or if you have to run your drives somewhere out in the rain.
