Sunbeamtech Quarterback ATX Case
July 31, 2007

Internal Examination:

With the case opened I immediately noticed the Core Fan configuration, which caused a brief point of concern (more on this later). Other than the Core Fan, I did not notice anything else that really stood out.

The inside portion of the back panel is fairly standard. The seven expansion slots are designed to be tool-less, and I like Sunbeamtech's implementation of tool-less expansion slots as there is nothing between each slot which could cause issues with larger cards. If necessary, you can also remove the tool-less clips and use screws.

The front accessible 5.25" and 3.5" drive bays are also tool-less. Simply side your drive in, latch it into place, and slide the locking mechanism down to secure it.

At the bottom of the case's front section is a removable hard drive cage. To remove this you will need to use a screwdriver, however you should not need to remove this unless you plan to install a front intake fan.

With the hard drive cage removed you could install a front 120mm fan. This is a good place to install an additional fan to increase the air flow, but Sunbeamtech does not include a fan for this location. While you need to remove the cage to get the fan in place, you will also need to remove the front bezel in order to install the screws to secure it.
