Installation

To begin the installation you should remove the heatsink that is currently on your cooler. Be careful doing this as many companies will not cover your card under warranty if you change the heatsink (be sure to keep the original heatsink in good condition).

Now that your video card does not have a heatsink on it, we can begin the installation of the Iceberq 6. The first thing to do is to find out which of the screw holes you will need to use on the back of the card. Once you know that, simply insert the long screws into the correct holes and then add the black rubber washers.

If you are going to use the RAM heatsinks, you should place them onto the video card prior to attaching the cooler. This is done by simply attaching some of the double sided thermal tape between the memory chips and the heatsinks.

Now all that is left to do is to complete the process of installing the cooler onto the video card. Align the screws with the appropriate holes, place the white washers on the back of the video card, and finally secure the cooler to the card using the screws with the springs attached.

If you have gotten this far, I'm sure you can figure out how to install it into your computer. Originally the cooler installed on my PNY GeForce 6600 left some room between the video card and the second PCI slot (which is where the AverMedia Purity 3D MCE 500 Dual Tuner card is installed). As you can see here, that space has been minimized and there is very little room between the Iceberq 6 and the TV tuner.
